Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week (8:30 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance, renovation, and capital improvement projects across a mixed-use commercial property portfolio. This role works closely with operations, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate commercial property maintenance, repair, and improvement projects from planning through completion.
  • Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project progress.
  • Partner with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Conduct property inspections and project site visits to monitor workmanship, safety, and compliance.
  • Obtain and review vendor proposals while supporting contractor selection and contract management.
  • Maintain organized project files, contracts, inspections, and closeout documentation.
  • Respond to tenant and vendor requests while helping resolve property-related concerns.
  • Assist with annual capital planning and operating budget preparation.
  • Monitor project costs, review invoices, and support financial reporting.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and business partners.
  • Support additional operational and project initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in commercial property management, project management, facilities management, construction management, real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience working with mixed-use, retail, office, or commercial properties is highly preferred.
  • Previous involvement with renovation, tenant improvement, or capital construction projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, vendor management, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
