The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of complex customer projects following handoff from the sales team. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for project delivery, leading cross-functional teams while overseeing customer relationships, quality, schedules, budgets, contractual commitments, and risk management. The Project Manager drives transparency throughout the project lifecycle, ensures high customer satisfaction, coordinates internal and external stakeholders, and provides leadership to all project participants to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and to agreed performance standards. The role also ensures that project changes, decisions, and deliverables are effectively managed and documented while maintaining alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.

Your Role in Our Team

Commercial

  • Serve as the contract owner, managing contractual obligations, commercial risks, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and manage change orders, variation requests, and additional sales opportunities while balancing commercial and technical project requirements

Organization & Leadership

  • Lead diverse international and cross-functional project teams, including engineering, software, site management, and subcontractor resources
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Korber's Project Excellence methodology, quality standards, and required documentation processes
  • Drive collaboration, accountability, and high performance while maintaining strong customer relationships and stakeholder alignment

Engineering / Project Execution

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including resource allocation, forecasting, scheduling, and budget management
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and acceptance activities, ensuring PAC and FAC milestones are successfully achieved
  • Serve as the primary customer escalation point while providing regular project status updates and decision-making recommendations
  • Manage project documentation, supplier tender processes, and milestone-based invoicing to support successful project delivery

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within logistics, automation, material handling, or industrial environments
  • Strong expertise in managing complex projects, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and execution
  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, IPMA, PRINCE2, or similar) is preferred
  • Experience working within matrix organizations and leading cross-functional, international teams
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems using structured methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage audiences from executive leadership to operational teams
  • Self-motivated, decisive, and adaptable, with a high level of integrity and accountability
  • Customer-focused leader with strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment

Your Working Environment

  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, project engineering, site management, sales, service, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing teams
  • Work closely with the Head of Project Management and cross-functional leaders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Partner with system integration teams and subcontractors to coordinate complex automation and logistics projects
  • Operate in a dynamic, customer-focused environment where quality, schedule, and budget objectives drive decision-making
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle, from project kickoff through final acceptance
  • Contribute to the successful execution of large-scale projects by building strong relationships across global and multidisciplinary teams
  • Travel up to 10-20% to support customer meetings, project reviews, installation activities, and key project milestones
  • Be part of a collaborative culture that values teamwork, operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
