Job description

Springfield Catholic Schools System is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Jr High Volleyball Coach at Springfield Catholic Schools.
Springfield Catholic Schools prepares and empowers students, in an atmosphere of academic excellence, with God's help, to be sent forth as disciples of the Catholic Faith and models of service. Springfield Catholic Schools System is made up of 3 elementary schools and 1 high school.
Position Summary: To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:





  • Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
  • Must be present at all practices and games
  • Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
  • Enforces disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and Principal.

 
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, VIRTUS certified (provided through SCS), have previous coaching experience is preferred, and a Background check is required, and all MSHSAA requirements.
