Position Overview:
Responsible for driving internal performance improvement across Sutter's value based care (VBC) populations by aligning clinical, operational, and payer facing stakeholders around shared goals, metrics, and accountability. Serves as the central connector across Sutter teams, organizing work, defining performance objectives, and ensuring disciplined execution to improve quality outcomes, reduce cost of care, and maximize revenue under value based arrangements.
Operates as a hands on performance leader with accountability for building structure, facilitating collaboration, and translating performance data into clear improvement plans across lines of business (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Shared Savings Program/Accountable Care Organization, Transforming Episode Accountability Model, Dua-Eligible Beneficiaries, and other risk arrangements).

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • Bachelor's degree

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 8 years of relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Experience in healthcare operations, value-based care, population health, payer performance, or provider performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with providers and clinical teams.
  • Strong understanding of VBC performance levers (quality, utilization, care management, risk adjustment, cost of care).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally without direct authority.
  • Experience translating performance data into operational action.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.

Pay Range is $145,204.80 to $217,796.80 / annual salary. Sacramento Valley Pay Range is $126,256.00 to $189,384.00 / annual salary.
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
