We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Automotive Controller. This position will be responsible for both our Libertyville Honda and Highland Park Acura dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee all financial aspects of the dealerships, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
โ€ข Manage the financial planning and analysis process, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
โ€ข Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
โ€ข Coordinate with department managers to monitor and control expenses, optimize profitability, and achieve financial targets.
โ€ข Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
โ€ข Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in all financial operations.
Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred OR 10 equivalent years of automotive accounting experience
โ€ข Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive dealership accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
โ€ข Experience with dealership accounting systems such as Tekion and payroll platforms such as Paycom is a plus
โ€ข Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
โ€ข Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
โ€ข Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
โ€ข Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
