Job description

For over thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. We are the only independent medical practice in the area combining neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional & non-interventional pain management, and physical therapy.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Neurosurgeon to join a collaborative team of 6 surgeons, 7 neurologists, 1 interventional neuroradiologist, 3 physiatrists, and a large team of APPs, based in Neenah, WI and serving Appleton, Green Bay, and the broader region.

  • Scope: Full spectrum neurosurgical care, including intracranial vascular lesions and tumors, carotid endarterectomy, MIS and robotic surgery, and spinal deformity correction
  • Subspecialty: Fellowship not required; subspecialty expertise or interest welcomed
  • Model: Multidisciplinary team with strong APP integration and cross-specialty collaboration
  • Culture: Relatively normal people who are generously committed to both families and patients; neurosurgery viewed as a calling

Robust Clinical Support

  • APPs heavily assist with office and hospital care
  • Clinical assistants for rooming and paperwork
  • Triage RNs to assess/prioritize calls
  • Billing support specialists for accurate, timely billing
  • Prior authorization team to manage payors
  • Scheduling team for office visits & surgeries
  • Administrative support for logistics & patient communications

Qualifications

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution
  • Board certified or board eligible (ABNS)
  • Wisconsin medical license (or eligibility)
  • Strong clinical skills in neurosurgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented, collaborative approach
