Can you make $100,000 as a CNA?

Earning $100,000 annually as a CNA is uncommon, as the median salary for certified nursing assistants typically ranges from $25,000 to $35,000 per year. However, some CNAs working overtime, in high-cost areas, or with specialized skills and certifications may increase their earnings, especially if they work multiple shifts or in supervisory roles during weekends or holidays.

How to become a per diem CNA?

To become a per diem CNA, you must complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and pass the certification exam. Additionally, maintaining current certification and obtaining any required state-specific licenses are necessary; per diem roles often require flexibility and availability on weekends or irregular hours.

Can I work as a CNA only on weekends?

Yes, some CNAs work part-time or per diem schedules that include only weekends, depending on the facility's staffing needs and their availability. It is common for CNAs to choose weekend-only shifts if they prefer a flexible schedule or have other commitments. However, availability for weekend shifts should be discussed with the employer during the hiring process.

Is per diem CNA worth it?

A per diem CNA role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience without long-term commitments. However, it typically provides lower pay and fewer benefits compared to full-time positions, so its value depends on individual priorities and financial needs.
