Job description

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • Masters degree in a clinical field (i.e. counseling, social work, psychology, nursing) preferred. Licensure as Social Worker, Counselor or Registered Nurse in state of Arkansas.
    • Experience
      • A minimum of one-year experience in a clinical or behavioral health field. Demonstrated ability to interface well with members of other departments in order to carry out responsibilities (e.g. coordinating the admission of patients, dictating psychosocial histories, and discharge planning for the patients.
    • Physical
      • This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.
      • Normal hospital environment. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Frequent walking, bending, stooping. Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation and current drivers license valid in the state of Arkansas and automobile liability insurance.
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Provides assessment services to all individuals wishing to receive mental health services through St. Bernards Behavioral Health. Involves a thorough understanding of criteria necessary to justify inpatient stays. Provision of services requires a one on one encounter with patients and a working knowledge of services available throughout Northeast Arkansas.
