• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories and any co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and underlying psychological factors.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
• Engage and educate clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process as a support system for the client.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in addiction treatment.

The licensed therapist will primarily work with adults struggling with substance use disorders, often compounded by mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Typical clients may include those who’ve faced challenges in managing their addiction, dealing with life transitions, or coping with stressors that trigger substance use. You will play a critical role in guiding clients through their recovery journey, addressing their unique needs with empathy and expertise.

• A valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated specialized training or extensive experience in addiction counseling.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices related to substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with the ability to inspire and motivate clients toward recovery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills conducive to teamwork.

• Experience working in a substance abuse treatment facility or outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and communication.
• Previous involvement in family therapy and support groups.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques.
