Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging team is growing! Lehigh Hospital is expanding emergency medical services with the opening of our new free-standing ER on Vintage Commerce Boulevard, just off Alico Road and Three Oaks Parkway, near I-75 later this year. This state-of-the-art facility will feature 11 exam rooms, advanced imaging and onsite lab services.

Sonographer (or Ultrasound Technologist) - PRN/Per Diem
Your schedule will include coverage at both free-standing ER locations: HCA Florida West Fort Myers Emergency (currently open) and HCA Florida Alico Emergency (opening Q4 2026)

We are currently seeking an energetic Sonographer on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now!

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer (or Ultrasound Technologist) include but are not limited to: 

· Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner

· Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner

· Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images

· Maintain statistical results for quality improvement

· Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results

Qualifications

· A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved program

· Valid ARDMS certification: RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

· Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions
