Job description


The Department of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem On-Calling Attending Otolaryngologist, Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:
  • Provide call coverage weekdays and weekends.
  • Coordinate Residence and Medical students in the field Otolaryngology and sub-specialties.
  • Serve on institutional councils and committees and other assignments as directed by Department Chair.
  • Participate as a member of the Department Executive Committee.
  • Attend required departmental conferences.
  • Conduct research that leads to publication and presentation.
  • Assist with department Q&A programs.
  • Develop hospital-base practice.
  • Participate with other department physicians in night call at all affiliated Hospitals.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • New York State Medical Doctor Licensure.
  • Medical Doctor Degree and graduate of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Otolaryngologist.
