To thrive as a Per Diem Machinist, you should have a strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement, typically backed by experience or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology. Familiarity with CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and machining software, as well as applicable safety certifications, is usually required.
