Job description

Pharmacist - (Per Diem)

Cottage Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Per Diem Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. This flexible role supports both clinical care and daily pharmacy operations while working closely with the Pharmacy Director and interdisciplinary care teams.

In this position, you will provide safe and effective pharmaceutical care by reviewing and verifying medication orders, supporting accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. You will participate in clinical collaboration, including multidisciplinary rounds and consults related to pharmacokinetics, antibiotic stewardship, anticoagulation, and general drug information.

Operational responsibilities include preparing and verifying medications, supporting sterile compounding (non-hazardous), maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with USP 797/800 standards. You will also assist with charge capture, recordkeeping (including controlled substances), and routine inspections of medication storage areas.
