Informatics Pharmacist
Valley Presbyterian Hospital
Bridge Pharmacy Practice & Technology
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, innovation in pharmacy and clinical systems drives safer, more effective patient care. We're seeking a highly skilled Informatics Pharmacist to support pharmacy systems, optimize clinical workflows, and partner across teams to enhance medication safety and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
  • Support pharmacy-related information systems including CPOE, order entry, clinical decision support, eMAR, and automated dispensing systems
  • Build and optimize order sets, dosing protocols, and medication workflows
  • Maintain pharmacy system databases, medication dictionaries, and formularies
  • Partner with IT, clinical teams, and vendors to support system enhancements and troubleshooting
  • Analyze workflow needs and contribute to system design and optimization
  • Support medication safety initiatives and anti-diversion programs
  • Educate and train pharmacy staff on system functionality and best practices
  • Assist with reporting, billing, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees and performance improvement initiatives

What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice and ASHP guidelines
  • Experience with pharmacy informatics systems and clinical technologies
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate across clinical, IT, and operational teams
  • Strong communication and training skills

Requirements
  • Active California Pharmacist license
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD or advanced degree preferred)
  • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days

Preferred
  • Pharmacy Informatics Residency or equivalent experience
  • Experience with clinical systems, automation, and healthcare technology integration
