Job description

We are one of the very few engineering firms in the country that designs and builds its own creations in the wireless sector. We support Fortune 500 clients such as T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, Dish Network, and AT&T.

We are looking to hire a Construction Project Engineer who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in the field. This would be a travel role, working alongside Construction Field Managers, Project Managers and Project Directors. This role is a great career path to the next level!

This is a 90% travel role (MIDWEST - IL, IN, MI, KY, OH). Company Truck is provided along with daily per diems and travel benefits

Pay Range:  $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually
Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position

Responsibilities: 
  • Overseeing crews and subcontractors in the field throughout construction phases
  • Request quotes and order materials from various vendors for materials and services:
    • Antenna/Equipment Platform Installations
    • Radio installation and connections (both)
    • Antenna installation 
    • Fiber optic connections
    • Connections of Support of RF jumpers
    • RET Controller Commissioning
  • Attend conference calls and participate in project meetings
  • Create daily and weekly schedules to support the management team
  • Assist project management in permit process
  • Tracking open permits and report progress to project managers
  • Coordinating the final inspections of jobs as required
  • Requesting COIs and surety bonds for permits and business licenses
  • Arranging for construction testing and engineering services if necessary
  • Attend and preform site walks and site audits as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications: 
  • At least 2+ years of experience in construction and/or engineering
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics (AutoCAD / Rigging plans)
  • Must be able to travel out of town/out of state whenever required for projects (Midwest region such as: IL, N, MI, KY, OH)
  • Ability to climb ladders and assist with the use of construction equipment
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. of equipment/materials
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, ETC.)
  • Problem solving and a desire to come up with practical solutions
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • High standards of integrity and reliability
  • Able to work under very tight time requirements and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with others
  • Able to work some weekends during deadline
