Job Title: Traveling Carpenters ($125 a day per diem)

Job Description

The Traveling Carpenters installs and assembles commercial doors, frames, insulated metal panels, and related metal trim at various project sites. This role requires frequent travel, strong technical skills in carpentry and metal work, and the ability to read and interpret construction documents while maintaining safe, OSHA-compliant work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware according to specifications and project requirements.
  • Install insulated metal panels (IMP) with attention to alignment, fit, and weatherproofing standards.
  • Fabricate and install metal trim to ensure clean, precise finishes on structures and panels.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and layouts to plan and execute installation work.
  • Perform accurate field layouts and measurements to ensure proper placement and fit of materials.
  • Assist with panel installation and rigging, including safe handling and positioning of large components.
  • Apply sealants and weatherproofing materials to ensure durable and watertight installations.
  • Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, aerial lifts, and forklifts in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, fasten, and assemble materials.
  • Maintain OSHA-compliant work practices at all times, including adherence to site safety rules and procedures.
  • Travel to various job sites as needed and adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.
