Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Home Health
Location: Daytona, FL
Employment Type: 1099 Contract / Per Visit
Compensation: $55 per visit
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality home health services to patients in their place of residence. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement treatment plans that improve patients' independence and ability to perform daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with the established Plan of Care 
  • Assist patients in improving daily living skills and functional independence 
  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes 
  • Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team 
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques 
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, Medicare, and agency regulations 
Qualifications:
  • Active Florida license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) 
  • Minimum of 1 year of home health experience preferred 
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule 
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
