Description: Marketing/Staff Attorney**

Location: Minot, North Dakota

About Us: We are a growing law firm seeking a detailed, motivated, and hard-working self-starting attorney to join our North Dakota office. As a Marketing/Staff Attorney, you will play a crucial role in both our legal and marketing efforts, helping to expand our client base and enhance our firm's brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Education: Educate clients on estate planning options, including creating wills, setting up trusts, and designing powers of attorney.
  • Asset Distribution: Assist clients in ensuring their assets are distributed according to their wishes, tax-efficiently, and with minimal conflict.
  • Document Drafting: Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Plan Review: Review and update estate plans to reflect changes in clients' lives, the law, tax planning, and their wishes.
  • Trust Administration: Assist with trust administration and probate upon a client's passing.
  • Professional Collaboration: Collaborate with financial advisors, insurance professionals, accountants, and other professionals.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build relationships with potential clients and explain our client base.
  • Marketing Efforts: Increase our firm's brand awareness through marketing efforts and networking.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and the firm to follow firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in North Dakota and/or Montana.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for estate planning and helping clients achieve their goals.
  • 1-5 years' experience in estate and business planning law preferred.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the state for client meetings.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary to build business 12 - 18 months until they are meeting compensation requirements via commissions. We will help you build your business. The role offers flexibility and there are no earning caps. You can leverage an experienced back-office staff in Minot.

BENEFITS:

In addition to your base salary, your compensation package includes:

  • Eligibility to participate in the Firm's annual bonus structure, based on Firm revenue goals and your individual contributions.
  • Eligibility to receive additional Firm bonuses, as determined by the Executive Committee.
  • Eligibility to participate in the firm 401(k) plan with a 100% employer match on the first three percent (3%) of your contributions and a 50% match on the next two percent (2%) of your contributions. Employer contributions are immediately vested.
  • Eligibility to participate in the firm Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA). Subject to plan terms, the ICHRA reimburses qualified health insurance premiums for yourself, your spouse, and dependents on a non-taxable basis. New employees are eligible for up to $500.00 per month in reimbursement, increasing to $1,100.00 based on tenure.
  • Access to a variety of supplemental insurance products through AFLAC, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
  • Nine (9) paid Firm holidays annually.
  • A minimum of ten (10) days of Paid Time Off (PTO), with additional accrual up to thirty (30) days based on tenure.

· Seven (7) days allocated for unplanned absences or sick leave annually.
