Are you a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with experience in routine/preventative maintenance within the manufacturing industry and seeking an opportunity with great work-life balance with a company that values growth and innovation? PeopleShare is currently hiring for Maintenance Mechanic in Newark, DE!

This is a direct hire (not temp or contract-to-hire) position with a growing manufacturing company that specializes in the production of testing equipment, chemicals and instruments for water quality analysis and is seeking a knowledgeable Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. They offer solid benefits, PTO, and a family-oriented atmosphere.

Job Details for the Maintenance Mechanic:
  1. Pay Rate: $30-38/hr (based on experience) + 1 shift differential for 3rd Shift
  2. Scheduling Options
    1. Day and Night Shifts Available (6:30am-6:45pm OR 6:30pm-6:45am)
      1. 2 Week Rotating Schedule:
      2. Week 1: off Mon/Tues, on Weds/Thurs, off Fri/Sat/Sun
      3. Week 1: on Mon/Tues, off Weds/Thurs, on Fri/Sat/Sun
    2. 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm
  3. Full benefits and 401k
  4. Direct hire opportunity (not contracted or temp)
Job Responsibilities & Description for the Maintenance Mechanic:
  1. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery including robotics as well as PLC- controlled equipment
  2. Replace parts, perform upgrades, complete preventative maintenance, and related electrical repairs/diagnostics as required
  3. Facilities maintenance and repairs including repairs and upgrades to electrical, plumbing, and some HVAC as required
  4. Troubleshoot and perform modifications to PLC and HMI systems
  5. Operate production machinery on an as needed basis
Job Requirements for the Maintenance Mechanic:
  1. Must have some knowledge of PLC systems and/or PLC operated plant equipment
  2. Must have superior troubleshooting for manufacturing machinery and/or related electrical systems
  3. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team setting
  4. Must be willing and able to assist in operating manufacturing machinery as needed in addition to maintenance tasks
  5. Must be able to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, drive, and lift up to 50 lbs
