To thrive as a Pension Risk Transfer Manager, you need expertise in pension plan structures, actuarial analysis, financial risk assessment, and typically a background in finance, actuarial science, or a related field. Familiarity with pension management software, actuarial modeling tools, and regulatory compliance systems is crucial, along with credentials such as ASA, FSA, or CFA.
