Pennswood Village is seeking Part-Timeย LPN's for Personal Care.ย Excellent staffing ratios!ย  Schedule an interview to see our beautiful community and meet our wonderful and caring staff.ย 

$30-32/hr

Shift: 7-3:30 Every other weekend

JOB SUMMARY

The LPN is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibility delegated to her/him so long as such action does not deviate from established policy and practice as defined by Pennswood Village and the current Pennsylvania LPN Practice Act in the supervision of and delivery of health care services in Home Care.

  • Apply the nursing process to patients and their families to residents and their families in their homes to provide for their health care needs.
  • Participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the individual patient plan of care as a part of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and objective written and oral communication.
  • Function as a professional LPN under the direct supervision of the RN in charge or, in the absence of an RN, function as the nurse in charge.
  • Carry out professional responsibilities both independently and in collaboration with other staff.
  • Plan and manage patient care assignments.
  • Provide demonstration, supervision and evaluation of care given by nurse aides and the orientation of new staff.
  • Participate in the development of the patient care policies and the standards of nursing practices.
  • Establish safe and accurate working habits in the delivery of individual patient care.
  • Consistently seek to extend professional knowledge and improve skills.
  • Maintain and ensure the personal rights of all patients through knowledge and leadership in advocating the Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Actively participate in monitoring the medical alert and fire alarm systems.
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures.
