Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Essential Functions  

  1. Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner; 
    Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs and all casino and hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms. 
  1. Complete maintenance requests, take equipment, meter readings, and maintain logs to notify the next shift. 
  1. Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. 
  1. Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Lead Engineer or Management. 
  1. Set up the machine and make name tags and signs. 
  1. Make keys as requested. 
  1. Attend meetings as scheduled. 
  1. Other job-related duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work; May require ability to drive pick-up truck and snow removal equipment; Excellent communication skills;  Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures; Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff; Ability to read, write and communication verbally in English; Ability to perform intermediate math; Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment; Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.     

Education and Experience 

High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate College degree is preferred; Journeyman Engineer status.  

Minimum Two (2) years related experience required; preferably in a hotel environment.  

Required Certification/License   

Possesses appropriate licenses and training as required by applicable local and state laws.
