Job description

The Member Experience Representative is responsible for greeting all members when they enter the branch and assisting them with their financial needs. This is a front-line role responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to members through various channels, including in-person, by phone, and through text and digital messaging. This position performs a variety of financial transactions and supports both lobby and teller operations. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude, and is a problem-solver with strong cash-handling and member service skills. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable in a sales environment and be able to meet monthly sales goals.
A Day in the Life of a Member Experience Representative INCLUDE:
  • Serving as a member experience concierge for members entering the branch and coordinating lobby flow.
  • Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Assisting members in the opening and closing of accounts.
  • Balancing the teller drawer at the end of the day.
  • Supporting ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) operations and serving as a knowledgeable resource.
  • Promoting and cross-selling Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Member Experience Representative Skills and qualifications include:
  • Minimum of 1 year of continuous job experience.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a financial institution is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and member service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PPT.
