Job description

Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to maintain production using secondary processing equipment such as operating cleaning line(s) for processing implantable PEEK devices. Use hand tools such as deburr blasters and trimming tools to remove burrs from the machining/assembly processes. Must be comfortable with sitting and looking in a microscope during shift hours.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain PEEK cleaning process in accordance with validated Marle procedures.
  • Clean PEEK devices per customer specification and/or Marle procedures.
  • Examine/visually inspect cleaned parts to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Use hand tools such as deburr blasters and trimming tools to remove burrs from the machining/assembly processes.
  • Assemble devices/articles/customer products (instruments and/or implants) according to customer’s drawing and Marle specifications.
  • Complete all paperwork correctly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific deburring requirements.
  • Determine whether product conforms to product specifications.
  • Prevent damage, through carelessness, to the equipment or process used in the performance of the job.
  • Follow Marle’s safety and environmental procedures.
  • Work with all departments to aid as necessary.
  • Follow written and verbal directions from company officers.
  • Perform non-routine tasks assigned by supervisor and/or company officers.
Qualification Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 plus years of general work experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods at the operator’s station area and walk from and to various machines.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works with and/or near moving mechanical parts, fumes and air-borne particles. A respirator is not required for normal duties but may be required for some special situations. The noise level in the work environment is typically noisy. Hearing protection is not required for normal duties but may be required for some special situations.
