Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Position Overview

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a culturally diverse healthcare environment serving the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities in Northwestern Arizona.

The Clinical Nurse performs a variety of professional nursing care procedures requiring independent judgment, clinical expertise, and compassionate patient-centered care. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing support to pediatric patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is a JCAHO-accredited healthcare facility serving a 4,400-square-mile region and functioning as a referral center for the western Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including emergency medicine, orthopedics, OB/GYN, surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dental care, and specialty services.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric acute care patients
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation using Allscripts EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Adhere to hospital policies, standards of care, and safety regulations
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Current, active, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state or territory
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
  • Pediatric nursing experience required
  • Current certifications required:
    • BLS (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS (American Heart Association)
    • PALS (American Heart Association)
    • NIHSS Certification
  • P-CAR certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
