Our division includes Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Optometric Technicians, and administrative staff dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and exceptional patient experiences. As part of our two-optometrist team, you will care for patients across our Seattle, Bellevue, and Everett clinic locations, working seamlessly alongside a multidisciplinary network of pediatric subspecialists—with around-the-clock access to Children’s specialties from birth through adolescence.
Key Responsibilities:Comprehensive Care: Provide expert pediatric eye care and ensure seamless coordination between patients, residents, fellows, attending physicians, nursing staff, and community providers.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with pediatric medical, surgical, and ancillary health teams to deliver holistic care.
Excellence & Vision: Uphold the highest standards of patient care and service quality, aligning daily practice with Seattle Children's vision, goals, and family-centered philosophy.
Schedule: 1.0 FTE (Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Day Shift)
Work-Life Balance: Includes 1 dedicated administrative day per week

This is a 1.0 FTE Monday-Friday day position, with 1 day for administrative work.
Required Education and Experience
Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree.
Graduation from an accredited School of Optometry accredited by the Council on Optometric Education of the American Optometric Association and approved by the Washington State Board of Optometry.
Formal Pediatric Optometry subspecialty training.
Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children’s and other sites as applicable.
Required Credentials
Licensed as an Optometrist in the State of Washington.
Successful Completion of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) Parts I, II, III and the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD). Endorsements for DPA/TPA, oral medications and epinephrine by Injection.
Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.
All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.
Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.
Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children’s as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
