Crystal Lake Families & Kids Services is actively seeking dedicated Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) to join our team. Crystal Lake Families & Kids Services, located in the serene area of Cockeysville, Maryland, is a multi-disciplinary clinic that provides comprehensive outpatient care including but not limited to obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, and family planning. This position is uniquely designed to be remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while you engage directly with clients through telehealth services. Our outpatient setting is conducive to effective therapeutic interventions, free from the constraints of traditional in-office activities.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations to establish treatment plans.
• Working closely with primary care providers to identify patients with mental health and psychosocial issues and promote their treatment goals.
• Delivering brief, focused mental health interventions for clients requiring immediate support, using evidence-based practices.
• Monitoring patient outcomes through regular follow-up sessions, ensuring treatment effectiveness and modifying plans as necessary.
• Developing personalized relapse prevention strategies aimed at stabilizing patients' mental health.
• Documenting client progress and treatment plans within our electronic health record (EHR) system, fostering accountability and continuity of care.
• Providing proactive coaching on treatment compliance, including strategies for managing medication side effects.
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and external treatment providers to guarantee comprehensive care for all patients.
• Adhering to ethical codes and standards set forth for clinical professionals, ensuring quality patient care.
• Contributing suggestions for program evaluation and development based on patient feedback and treatment outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on our diverse patient population that includes individuals experiencing a range of emotional and mental health challenges. This can encompass children, adolescents, and adults who seek guidance for issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, and social-emotional development. You will be instrumental in creating treatment plans that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported on their path to recovery.

To qualify for this rewarding position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credential in the state of Maryland.
• A strong foundational knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and various psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and the ability to recognize and address developmental psychopathology across diverse populations.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining clear and cooperative relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

While not required, candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Proficiency in bilingual communication, especially in English and Spanish, enhancing our outreach capabilities.
• Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting or similar community health environment.
• A background in interdisciplinary team collaboration, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a diverse care setting.
