Pay Rate: $17.50 an hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Guest Services Host is the front-line ambassador of Granby Ranch, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all guests. You will assist visitors with information, resolve guest concerns, and ensure a welcoming and seamless mountain experience. You will support ticketing, rentals, retail, and scanning operations when needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide accurate, friendly, and helpful information about the resort, mountain conditions, activities, and services.
  • Assist with guest check-ins and general inquiries at locations needed.
  • Assist guests with creating their online accounts/profile on a tablet to speed up the check-in process.
  • Monitor and scan passes at the designated Homeowner Lane at the lifts.
  • Resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally; escalate to manager/supervisor when necessary.
  • Monitor and manage guest flow in high-traffic areas to ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments (ski school, rentals, retail, lift operations, etc.) to support a seamless guest journey.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the main hallway and outside areas where guests will be at.
  • Stay informed about daily events, mountain operations, and weather updates to relay accurate information to guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Commercial Operations Manager or supervisor.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with Rentals, Retail, Scanning and Ski School departments when needed and as requested.
  • Opportunity to be certified to tech ski equipment.
  • Learn how to boot fit to assist with Rental department.
  • Have an understanding on all products to ensure excellent communication with guests.
  • Learn how to sell and promote retail offerings at the POS.
  • Assist with Ticket Scanning outside during lunch breaks, high-volume season, and when needed.
  • Maintain an exceptional level of professionalism in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and other department managers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
  • Highly developed customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being

made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent or actively enrolled in High School.
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak season periods.

Granby Ranch is located in Granby, Colorado (90 miles northwest of Denver) and all jobs are performed on site. Employee housing is available for full-time seasonal and year-round employees.
A criminal background check will be conducted after an employment offer is accepted and must be successfully completed prior to starting work. The background check will be completed in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
