Job description

People Driven Technology, Inc is a fast-growing, modern technology integrator focused on delivering innovative IT solutions across the Midwest. We specialize in security, infrastructure, and cloud services, working with industry-leading OEMs like Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Arctic Wolf to provide comprehensive solutions that protect our clients' digital assets

The Cybersecurity Specialist is a customer-facing presales and design resource who helps Indiana-based customers build and improve their security infrastructure to meet business needs. This person leads security workshops and assessments, focusing on core areas like network, email, endpoint, identity, data protection, and vulnerability/attack surface management, while partnering closely with Account Managers, Enterprise Architects, OEM teams, and PDT delivery. They serve as the primary day-to-day security specialist for the Indiana market, backed by PDT’s (Security Driven) broader security team.

What You Would Do
  • Run Security Driven workshops, discovery sessions, and whiteboard engagements for Indiana customers using PDT’s methodology (solutions pyramid, questionnaires, and gap analysis).
  • Translate business, risk, and compliance requirements into phased recommendations and staged roadmaps aligned to PDT’s Security Driven framework and strategic platforms.
  • Produce clear customer-facing deliverables, including current-state findings, heat maps, recommended next steps, and security roadmaps.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts to showcase solution value to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Enterprise Architects to identify, qualify, and advance security projects and managed services opportunities across all core security motions.
  • Contribute scope, assumptions, and sequencing guidance to proposals and Statements of Work to ensure clear boundaries and implementable designs.
  • Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and other technical inquiries to ensure proposed solutions meet customer and compliance needs.
  • Coordinate technical next steps such as validation plans, pilots, and recommended paths forward to drive the technical win.
  • Build and maintain working knowledge of PDT’s strategic security OEMs (Palo Alto, Cisco, Zscaler, Cloudflare, Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Security) and ramp quickly on additional platforms as needed.
  • Collaborate with OEM SEs, PDT delivery resources, and broader security specialists to ensure recommended designs are implementable, supportable, and aligned with best practices.
  • Support periodic enablement for Indiana sellers and architects on the Security Driven approach, key talk tracks, and core security plays; provide consistent regional feedback on customer needs and competitive trends.
What We Are Looking For
  • 3–5+ years in a customer-facing security engineering, presales, or security consulting role in a VAR, MSSP, OEM, or enterprise environment.
  • Experience leading discovery conversations and workshops, whiteboarding environments, and translating requirements into practical recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two or three of the following:
    • Network security (NGFW, SASE/SSE, secure access)
    • Endpoint security / EDR / XDR / MDR
    • Email security and phishing/BEC protection
    • Identity and access (SSO/MFA, Entra/AD/Okta, PAM)
    • Data protection / DLP and basic DSPM concepts
    • Vulnerability management and basic attack surface management
  • Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting sales teams by progressing opportunities, shaping solution direction, and contributing to proposals or scope discussions (without owning full quota or forecasting).
  • Strong presentation, whiteboarding, and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear findings, recommendations, and roadmaps.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Indiana to support customer engagements, workshops, and strategic account meetings; occasional out-of-state travel for key internal, OEM, or industry events.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with several of PDT’s strategic security OEMs (Palo Alto, Cisco, Zscaler, Cloudflare, Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Security).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with managed security services motions such as MDR, XDR, vulnerability management, and SOC improvement.
  • Preferred: In-depth understanding of security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, SSCP, CCSP, or vendor certifications from Palo Alto, Cisco, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Zscaler, etc.
What We Would Offer You
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Collaborative and welcoming office culture.
  • Work-life balance and unlimited paid time off.
