To thrive as a PCT Sitter, you need basic patient care knowledge, CPR certification, and often a high school diploma or completion of a patient care technician program. Familiarity with hospital safety protocols, patient monitoring systems, and electronic health records is typically required. Excellent observation skills, patience, and effective communication are vital for supporting patient well-being and collaborating with medical staff. This collaboration helps maintain a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

What are PCT sitters?

PCT sitters, or Patient Care Technician sitters, are healthcare workers who provide constant observation and companionship to patients in hospitals or other medical facilities.
