Job description

Audiologist Position

Physicians' Clinic of Iowa Department of ENT is seeking a full-time Audiologist to join our busy, patient focused practice of dedicated professionals. This role is primarily focused on diagnostic audiology services provided at our main clinic in Cedar Rapids, as well as at multiple community outreach clinics staffed by PCI ENT physicians. Outreach clinics are located approximately 25–75 miles from PCI and are typically scheduled 1–2 days per week.

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform adult and pediatric audiologic evaluations, including:
    • Conventional audiometry
    • DPOAE screenings
    • Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA)
    • Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA)
    • Immittance testing
  • Determine the presence or absence of hearing-related disorders
  • Administer balance testing (VNG) if interested and appropriately trained
  • Counsel patients and families regarding test results and recommendations
  • Document evaluations accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)

Qualifications:

  • Au.D. or Masters-level audiologist appropriately licensed in the state of Iowa
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association preferred.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
