Job Title: Test Technician II

Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Location: Gulf Breeze, FL (Onsite)
Schedule: 9-80 A|1st Shift|06:00 AM

Position Overview

The Test Technician II is responsible for testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies to ensure product quality and performance standards are met. This role requires strong technical expertise in circuit board testing, the ability to interpret schematics, and perform component-level diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing and inspection of electronic products, equipment, and systems following established procedures
  • Set up, operate, and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate measurements
  • Record test data, observations, and results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify and document defects, failures, and deviations from specifications
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues at the component and board level
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze results and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain and support test equipment, tools, and fixtures
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or technical certification preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills at the component level
  • Proficiency with data recording and basic computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC-A-610 Class 3 and/or J-STD-001 soldering certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working with printed circuit boards (PCB) and electronic assemblies
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and regulated environments
  • Experience supporting testing in manufacturing or engineering environments
