Job Purpose: The Planning Engineer supports engineering activities such as design, modification and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production. The selected candidate will be working in various departments within the manufacturing facility for the first half year, learning what each department does and getting hands-on experience. Following the hands-on learning; the employee will be trained to plan the manufacturing process and tooling instructions required to manufacture custom printed circuit boards.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Plan jobs using InPlan and Insolver applications to create production travelers for a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing plant. Complete controlled impedance stack-ups, instruct CAM operators on all tooling requirements, answer technical questions from other departments, as well as, effectively communicate with customers. Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review on customer designs.

Perform spec-review and spec-summary on all customer documents and/or industry standards. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering. Experience in planning, product engineering, and tooling in a PCB manufacturing environment and using a CAD/CAM system is helpful but not required.

Must be a self starter and have excellent initiative. Must have very good verbal and written communication skills. Salary Range (annual) : $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
