Job description

Overview

The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.

 

A Birthplace/Special Deliveries PCA administers patient care on the Postpartum unit, Labor and Delivery and C-Section operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

                       High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

    After orientation must demonstrate competence skills and knowledge required of the position

             of a Birthplace/Special Deliveries Patient Care Tech , NRP certification and BLS certification within one year of hire.
