Job description

We have a permanent schedule available for a PCA caregiver in Conyers/Oxford, GA assisting with a female client in the Conyers/Oxford, GA area withpersonal care and bowel program needs; client is paralyzed but very independent and active, she has an automatic Hoyer lift for transfers. There is a small dog in the home. PCA caregiver must be able to work the following schedules:

Schedules Available:
Day shifts:
Mondays/Thursdays 7:00am-2:30pm; Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays 6:00am-1:30pm

Also need Fill-in/PRN caregivers at times for the following:
Evening Shifts:
Mondays-Fridays 7pm-10pm; 8pm-10pm

Weekend Shifts:
Saturdays (8:30am-1:30pm AND 8pm-10pm)
Sundays (7:30am-10am AND 7pm-10pm)

Responsibilities of the Caregiver:
Assist the Patient with ADL's.
Aid with transferring patients and assist with ambulation.
Assist patients with bathing, personal hygiene and grooming.
Provide medication reminders.
Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Set up of meal trays, and document food / fluid intake.
Provide Companionship to patients.

Requirements of the Caregiver:
High school or equivalent
1 year of Home Care experience
CNA Preferred but not required
Experience working with various client diagnoses
Ability to use a Hoyer lift and/or transferring clients.
Current TB and Physical (within the year)
Current BLS CPR preferred (Classes offered)
Valid Driver's License
