Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN (Flexible Scheduling Available)

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Aides / Caregivers - PCA to provide one-on-one support and care for clients in a home setting throughout Christiansburg and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy helping others maintain independence, safety, and comfort within their home environment while having flexibility and control over their schedule.
As a Personal Care Aide / Caregiver - PCA, you will assist clients with activities of daily living while providing companionship, emotional support, and personalized care.
Responsibilities of Personal Care Aide / Caregiver - PCA:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
  • Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
  • Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members

Qualifications of Personal Care Aide / Caregiver - PCA:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in the state of Virginia preferred
  • Six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred
  • CPR certification and TB test required
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
