Job description

Purpose

Providing caring and responsible wheelchair and ambulatory transportation for patients to and from their medical appointments using a company non-emergency medical transportation vehicle in Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas counties. Driver will perform trips for our brokerage firms and private pay clientele.

Duties

· Transport passengers, assisting them hand to hand, loading/ unloading passengers and belongings

· Follow schedule, maps, etc., and report regularly to dispatch.

· Maintain vehicle; clean interior and exterior; work with dispatch to arrange vehicle service/maintenance

· Complete docs and maintenance records clearly and accurately.

· Participate in training and educational opportunities

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 21 years old

· 1 year of continuous and uninterrupted driving history

· Possess and understand how to use apps on a smart phone

· Pass Federal Criminal Background Check (No Registered Sex Offenders and No felony convictions past 10 years)

· Less than 2 moving violations on drivers record within the last 5 years

· No more than 1 accident on drivers record within the last 5 years

· Pass initial Drug Test, be willing/able to submit to random drug testing as requested

Skills / Qualifications

· Safety and security minded

· Safe, defensive driving

· Can read maps and GPS

· Dependable, energetic and team oriented

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. Able to push and pull people in wheelchairs.

· Has suitable parking area for company vehicle

· Preferred: PBOT Private For-Hire Transportation Permit

· Preferred: CPR / First Aid Certifications or other NEMT related training

Compensation/Benefits

· Full-time and part-time positions available. Flexible schedules; no late nights

· Five Days: Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat

· Four Day: Mon-Thur or Wed-Sat

· Three Days: Mon-Wed or Thur-Sat

· Starting wage $19.00-$23.50 DOE

· Use of Company vehicle to and from shift (not for personal use)

· Paid every two weeks

· 1 Week paid vacation after 12 months on the job full time

· Company 401K (matching up to 3.5%)
