Job Summary:
The Payroll Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Payroll Office by assisting with payroll data entry, record maintenance, and routine payroll processing activities. The position works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Payroll Operations and supports the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or coursework in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
  2. Previous clerical or administrative experience demonstrated strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; payroll or accounting experience preferred.
  3. Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with payroll or HRIS systems preferred (Paycom a plus).
  5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with employees and campus departments.
  7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and required employment authorization documentation.
