Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing services to small to mid-sized clients, building and strengthening those client relationships. Your primary tasks will include payroll processing & reporting, handling accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, accounting for fixed assets and loans, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts. Additionally, you will coordinate payroll processes, reconcile payroll on the books to payroll tax filings, and ensure vendor information is collected for year-end Form 1099 production. You will also be responsible for the input of complex transactions. Effective communication with clients and providing information for management review are essential components of this role.

Requirements

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop for clients
  • Process payroll and reports for clients
  • Handle accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable
  • Account for fixed assets and loans
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Coordinate payroll processes and reconcile payroll on the books to payroll tax filings
  • Collect vendor information, including Form W9, to enable the production of Form 1099 at year-end
  • Input complex transactions accurately
  • Accurately invoice customers
  • Maintain internal controls and fraud prevention
  • Communicate effectively across departments within HR Wise
  • Provide information for review by management
  • Work diligently to meet deadlines
  • Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
  • Compute and record numerical data

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with QuickBooks: Proficiency in both QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Experience with Payroll Platforms: ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, and other payroll platforms
  • Fundamental Knowledge of GAAP: Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Personality: A highly positive and upbeat personality
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels throughout an organization
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business or related field

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of solid payroll processing, bookkeeping experience with AR, AP, and reconciliation.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields

Language:

  • Fluent in Spanish (Preferred)
