Position Overview:
The Payroll Practitioner II is responsible for performing a wide variety of payroll tasks to establish and maintain accurate employee payroll records in a high volume. This role serves as the main point of contact for both employees and managers when it comes to the timecard completion, review, and approval processes. The Payroll Practitioner II also performs other payroll-related tasks as needed and assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform weekly audits to ensure accurate set up of all new hires.
  • Maintain employee payroll records; ensure employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis.
  • Utilize reports to follow up with both employees and managers to ensure accurate and complete timecards for preparation of biweekly payroll processing.
  • Assist employees and managers in reviewing, editing, and approving timecards; provide training as needed.
  • Perform routine data entry.
  • Complete all employment verifications and other wage requests.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
  • Assist the Payroll Practitioner III as needed in administering and processing the biweekly payroll activities of a high volume, multistate centralized payroll process.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate's degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Minimum 1 year payroll or accounting experience, preferred.
  • FPC Designation, preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to details and math skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
