Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: 09/21/2026. Assignment duration: 15 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,062 to $2,169 per week. Shift: Day Shift (0630–1900), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). Guaranteed hours: none. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in an acute-care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilation support
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings; manage adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team; participate in all aspects of respiratory care
- Respond to code events as part of CPR and rapid response activities; ensure patient safety and optimal oxygenation
- Utilize department equipment and systems (ventilators such as V60, PB 980, PB 840; ParaPac transport vent; computerized charting; Pyxis medication management) and document care accurately
Requirements
- Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license by start date; current Hawaii license preferred or license application submitted
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; BLS required; ACLS and PALS required; NRP preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; ability to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Ability to work in an inpatient acute-care setting; available to participate in the stated day shift schedule
- Onboarding readiness: must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements
