Job description

Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Payroll for a construction company in Springdale, AR, supporting a team of 20–50 employees. This position would be a great opportunity for someone looking for a great work-life balance with a rapidly growing organization as this will be a remote/hybrid role and carry great potential growth. This is a temp-to-permanent position, offering an opportunity to prove your skills before transitioning to a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, code expenses, prepare ACH/check payments, reconcile AP subledger, manage vendor inquiries
  • Accounts Receivable: Enter customer orders, track incoming payments, reconcile A/R accounts, generate billing reports, assist with collections
  • Payroll: Process weekly payroll for 20–50 construction employees, calculate wages/garnishments/child support, prepare payroll reports, maintain payroll records
  • General Accounting: Bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end close support, accruals, financial reporting, QuickBooks maintenance

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in AP, A/R, and full-cycle payroll
  • Experience with construction accounting and weekly payroll processing (preferred)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
