Job description

Position Title: Payroll Analyst / Coordinator

Duration: 03 Months with possibility of extension

Location: Perth Amboy, NJ 08861

Shift hours: Mon-Fri; 8:00am -5:00pm

Job Summary:

The Payroll Analyst, reporting to the Finance Manager, will be responsible for the support and coordination of functions related to the processing and administration of Payroll.

Also, will be the liaison between company and two Unions as it relates to Dues, Fees, and Pension and H&W.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for multiple departments in multiple states.

Responsible for timely and accurate data input and audit of payroll information and payroll reconciliation.

Processing and distribution of required payroll reports.

Process Deductions and remit to Unions for Dues and Fees for two Unions.

Process Pension and Health & Welfare calculations and process payments to two Unions.

Submit documents as needed to third party for tax, wage payments, and garnishments.

Process off cycle Manual payments.

Trouble shoots Kronos issues at the Operating Unit and assists with processing time files each week as needed.

Audit payroll data, deductions and employee/employer taxes for accuracy.

Ad hoc payroll reporting.

Proven ability to work with deadlines and high volume.

Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Excellent computer (Excel, Word) and office skills.

Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with all levels of associates, to organize and prioritize workload, and management skills

Qualification:

Payroll processing for +750 associates and working with Union reps.

Advanced excel skills, Microsoft office skills (outlook and word), strong communication skills.

Understanding of workday payroll processing,

Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to multitask.

HS but must have 3 years of large-scale payroll experience, Workday a plus.
