Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable construction industry organization on the north side of Cincinnati, Ohio to identify an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing in a fast-paced, multi-state construction environment. The assignment is expected to begin as a contract role with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare certified payroll reports for construction projects while ensuring compliance with applicable wage and reporting requirements
  • Support payroll administration for a large employee population of 1,000+ employees across multiple states
  • Review and validate employee hours, job classifications, wage rates, deductions, and payroll adjustments for accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with audits, reporting requests, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams including payroll, accounting, HR, and project management to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure timely processing
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of certified payroll experience required
  • Previous construction payroll experience required
  • Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees
  • Multi-state payroll experience required
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, wage reporting, and payroll regulations
  • Experience with union payroll is highly preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
