Finance & Payroll Assistant


Job Description Includes

  • Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours, deductions, adjustments, and payroll accuracy.
  • Partner with the payroll team to prepare and process weekly payroll.
  • Process payroll-related transactions including returned pay, garnishments, vacation payouts, and employee termination.
  • Maintain and reconcile Paid Time Off (PTO) balances and employee requests.
  • Manage Accounts Payable by entering vendor invoices, processing payments, and maintaining AP aging reporting.
  • Review daily cash and sales reports and assist with month-end financial reconciliation
  • Provide ongoing aministrative support and financial reports to the Leadership Team
  • Complete assigned Time & Labor reviews as part of the HR and payroll oversight.
  • Utilize and continuously improve business systems including Paylocity, QuickBooks, CrunchTime, Orackle, R&A, POS Administration, etc.

What We’re Looking

  • Bacherlor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting support, or a related function.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or accounting system; experience with Paylocity or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to learn new technology and automation too
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
