What will you contribute?
The Product Marketing Manager - Payments and Messaging will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Finastra's payments portfolio. This role is responsible for developing compelling, value-based messaging, enabling sales, and driving market awareness across target segments. The ideal candidate combines strong product marketing expertise with a solid understanding of modern payments processing and infrastructure, enabling them to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated business value for customers.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:

GTM Strategy Execution

  • Support the development and execution of integrated GTM plans Finastra's Payments products across target markets and personas.

  • Ensure alignment with broader payments portfolio strategy, regional priorities, and revenue objectives.

Value Proposition & Messaging Development

  • Create clear, differentiated messaging frameworks that articulate the business value of Finastra's payment solutions.

  • Translate complex product features (e.g., cloud-native architecture, real-time processing, payment rails integration) into compelling customer outcomes (efficiency, scalability, compliance, growth).

Content & Sales Enablement

  • Develop high-quality marketing and sales enablement assets including presentations, solution briefs, case studies, battlecards, and web content.

  • Equip sales teams with persona-based messaging and tools to effectively position solutions in competitive scenarios.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends in payments (e.g., real-time payments, ISO 20022, cloud adoption, Payments-as-a-Service).

  • Monitor competitor positioning and provide actionable insights to refine messaging and differentiation.

Campaign & Demand Generation Support

  • Collaborate with demand generation teams to develop and optimize campaigns that drive pipeline and customer engagement.

  • Contribute messaging and content for digital campaigns, events, and industry engagements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Regional Marketing teams to ensure consistent positioning and successful product launches.

  • Act as the "voice of the market" internally, feeding customer insights into product and strategy discussions.


Required Experience:

  • Product Marketing Expertise

    • Proven experience in product marketing, preferably within financial services or fintech.

    • Strong understanding of GTM planning, messaging development, and sales enablement.

  • Payments Domain Knowledge

    • Solid understanding of modern payment processing and infrastructure, including:

      • Real-time payments, cross-border payments, and payment hubs

      • Payment rails (SEPA, Faster Payments, SWIFT, etc.)

      • Industry trends such as ISO 20022, cloud/SaaS delivery, and Payments-as-a-Service

    • Ability to articulate how payment technologies deliver business outcomes for financial institutions.

  • Content & Storytelling Skills

    • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical features into clear, concise, and compelling business benefits.

    • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills tailored to different personas (business and technical).

  • Marketing Tools & Capabilities

    • Familiarity with core marketing tools such as CRM (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo), and content management systems.

    • Experience supporting digital campaigns and understanding performance metrics (conversion, engagement, pipeline contribution).

  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking

    • Ability to synthesize market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable marketing strategies.

    • Data-driven mindset with attention to detail.

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    • Experience working in cross-functional, global environments.
