*This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.*

About this Role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Integrity Management Program Technologist located in Freeport (TX).

The IMP Technologist has the primary responsibility for managing the documentation of IMP assessments and data analysis activities to achieve the desired results of being in compliance with regulations and improving safety, reliability, and maintainability. This role will also be responsible for updating P&IDs following pipeline repairs/upgrades.

Responsibilities
  • Draft closure reports and research reports by capturing inspection and completing closure reports.
  • Assemble and review field inspection data to ensure required documentation is available for closure reports.
  • Follow up with IMP Engineers and Turnaround Coordinator when additional information is required.
  • Assemble all required document/assessment and review data with outside engineering resources to ensure closure report technical adequacy.
  • Facilitate data integration meetings and communicate results to IMP Engineers.
  • Document inspection data into IMP schedule, risk analysis database, and monitor repair sleeve tracking database to ensure documentation of critical data is recorded such as proper method of assessment, inspection date, pipeline deficiencies, assessment failure data, and others.
  • Research data files and electronic information to obtain pipeline information for integrity assessment and the IMP risk model.
  • Become familiar with integrity management procedures and processes to reference in documentation of closure reports.
  • Assist Regulatory Group in data collection associated with annual reporting and agency audits.
  • Manage and be responsible for electronic and hard copy documents within the library and lifetime file system.
  • Assist and review Threat Assessment and OPS Data Sheets for accuracy
  • Update existing P&IDs to reflect changes made during repairs/upgrades.
  • Provide documentation and expertise for regulatory audits as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Must have current valid, US driver's license
  • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. For information on TWIC eligibility requirements, please see: https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic (If unable to access link, copy and paste in your browser.)
  • This position requires compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations. Candidates must pass a DOT-regulated drug test prior to employment and may be subject to random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing during employment
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree with 2 years of experience in a discipline related to pipeline engineering or pipeline inspection
  • Experience with Pipeline Integrity Management
  • Experience in underground pipeline inspection and repair methodologies
  • Familiar with ASME codes such as B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
  • Familiar with Microsoft Station and ADEPT
Skills
  • Pipeline Integrity Management: Knowledge of pipeline integrity programs, assessments, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance requirements for gas and liquid transportation pipelines.
  • Technical Documentation Management: Ability to compile, review, maintain, and manage integrity assessment records, closure reports, engineering documentation, and lifetime file systems.
  • Data Analysis & Integration: Experience collecting, validating, analyzing, and integrating inspection and asset data to support risk modeling, repair tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support: Understanding of pipeline regulations, documentation standards, and audit requirements to support agency reporting and regulatory inspections.
  • P&ID Management: Ability to interpret and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to accurately reflect pipeline repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
