Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the full spectrum of human resources functions at American Safety Services Inc. The position will ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent; assist with processing payroll and benefits administration. They will work with various compliance functions to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining accurate and compliant HR records
  • Manage recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer support
  • Lead a New Hire Orientation class
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to address performance and behavioral issues
  • Act as a champion for the American Safety culture and ensure the environment is supporting the expectations set forth by Executive Leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be Bilingual (English - Spanish)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Special preference given to applicants with meaningful experience
  • Knowledge of benefits administration
  • Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems. Specifically, Paycor and NetSuite
  • High attention to detail, with a hands-on, proactive approach
