Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People Operations Specialist to support key HR functions across benefits administration, HRIS management, onboarding, and employee experience. This role serves as a Tier 1 resource for employee inquiries, manages critical HR processes, and plays a visible role in our McKinney office’s culture and day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong organizational skills, and enjoys wearing multiple hats to keep operations running smoothly. Experience in benefits, HRIS, or onsite onboarding is highly preferred.


Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits Administration
  • Serve as Tier 1 support for employee benefits inquiries, escalating complex questions to the broker as needed.

  • Lead administrative setup and execution of Open Enrollment (Paycor configuration, monitoring workflow).

  • Manage qualifying life event changes and ensure timely processing.

  • Handle state-specific compliance requests with broker support.

  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices for accuracy.

  • Oversee leave administration processes and documentation.

  • Support 401(k) program functions, including approving withdrawals for terminated employees, loan approvals, and Tier 1 questions.


HRIS Management
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data in Paycor and Rippling (roles, managers, comp updates, org changes).

  • Assist with NETRIO’s transition to Rippling in February and April, including data validation and rollout tasks.

  • Generate HR and headcount reports for managers and leadership.

  • Ensure data integrity across systems and processes.


Backup Support for Other HR Functions
  • Provide payroll support as needed; prior payroll experience is a strong plus but not required.

  • Assist with candidate phone screens and scheduling during high-volume periods.


McKinney Office Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person onboarding for local new hires.

  • Partner with HR leadership and IT/Security to build and implement an improved onboarding program.

  • Coordinate office-based culture and engagement activities (meals, happy hours, events).

  • Act as the “adult in the room” by reinforcing policies, procedures, and a professional, positive workplace culture.

  • Serve as backup for office management tasks, including ordering supplies/snacks and preparing the space for client visits.


Additional Responsibilities
  • Support employee wellness initiatives and other engagement programs within the annual budget.

  • Coordinate job fairs approximately twice per year.

  • Manage the Mentorship Program (details TBD).

  • Take on additional HR projects and responsibilities as needed.
