Job description

The Valet Operations Supervisor ensures the safe and efficient parking operations, while delivering exceptional service that exceeds our customer/client’s expectations.  The Valet Parking Operations Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of operating the valet parking at luxurious hotels including: staff management, revenue control, safety, and client relations.

The Valet Operations Supervisor must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.  The Operations Supervisor will report to the Director of Parking.

WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY AVAILABILITY.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the supervision of location staff: delegating, coaching/developing, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all company standards.
  • Train new employees; collaborate with The Director of parking on the onboarding plan for new employees to ensure success.
  • Act as the point of contact to client or; attend location meetings as appropriate and respond to client requests in order to develop and maintain a good working relationship.  
  • Assist the Director of Parking with payroll ensuring all staff clock in/out properly and assisting to correct incorrect or missed punches in PAYCOM.
  • Monitor maintenance of the driveway and associated premises to ensure that the driveway and offices are safe and maintained to standards; supervise on-going maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports as required.  
  • Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of frontline staff.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location.
  • Ensure all staff maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guest, hotel staff and coworkers.
  • Ensure valets secure all keys.
  • Ensure all valets practice AAA basics service standard every day.
  • Ensure all valets park and retrieve vehicles safely and timely.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines/high customer expectations.
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions in the absence of The Director of Parking
  • Knowledge general Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience in account management and revenue collection.
  • Previous valet parking supervisor experience required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have the ability to drive standard and automatic manual transmission vehicles
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and temperature changes
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to lift, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs. pounds with reasonable accommodations, and exhibit the full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing pulling, climbing, balancing and crouching.
